Kirn Kim

A former juvenile lifer, Kirn Kim has personally experienced the effects of the “tough-on-crime” and “tough-on-juvenile-crime” movements of the ‘80’s and ‘90’s. Upon his release, he encountered and continues striving to overcome the barriers to reentry that those returning to society experience. Kirn has been active in The Anti-Recidivism Coalition, the Post-Conviction Justice Project at the University of Southern California, and Project 4R, where he offers his knowledge, experience, and insights, and advocates for fairer justice policies that improve incarceration conditions and reentry outcomes.
